Szilágyi Pál: A new nail in the coffin: the Booking.com judgement of 2020. Nr. 2020/14.

The short working paper looks at the recent Booking.com judgement of the ECJ (C-59/19. Wikingerhof GmbH & Co. KG v Booking.com BV. ECLI:EU:C:2020:950) and after a short introduction to recent problems regarding OTAs, the working paper argues that the ECJ has established a very important principle which might lead to more claims against a dominant travel platform, thereby leading to a possible remedy on the digital travel market via private actions.

The working paper is available for download here.
